Established in 1957, Paschim Gabberia High School (H.S.) was born from a noble vision to bring the light of education to the remote areas of the Sundarbans. What began humbly in a modest mud structure, championed by visionary founders such as eminent teacher Late Kashinath Mandal, advocate Late Dhirendranath Mandal, and freedom fighter Late Ramendranath Ghosh, has blossomed into a premier educational institution in the Jaynagar region. Generously supported by land donors Late Manikantha Biswas, Late Ramendranath Ghosh, and Late Uddhab Chandra Mandal, the school has achieved significant academic milestones over the decades—from its early recognition as a Junior High School in 1962 to its elevation as a fully equipped Higher Secondary institution in 2003. Today, rooted in a rich local legacy, Paschim Gabberia High School stands proud with modern infrastructure, nurturing thousands of students with a holistic approach to both academic and cultural excellence.
